MARTIN BENCHER is heavily involved in the shipping and transport of POWER units to all over the world. But in this industry, we go beyond the normal scopes of transport. Being part of the Project Management Team, together with the client, we work with global turnkey solutions, from ex works factory to skidding and placing the units in position at factory site.
Power can be generated in many ways and one of them is by using
combustion engines that run on gaseous or liquid fuels. Power plants with such engines often work in remote areas or as back-up to wind or solar power.
Very often our scope of work includes placing the engines onto foundations at
the final job site. Depending on the layout and general set-up of the job site, this can be done by cranes, or as in most cases, using the jacking and skidding method. With our experience and know-how within the Power Plant Industry, we have continuous focus on proven Key Performance Indicators and deliver services such as:
Martin Bencher has been involved in moving and building Power Plant Projects for the last 20 years.
Susanne Knudsen, Senior Project Manager, has been a part of the evolution almost from the beginning. She states;
“While the main markets is now competing with renewable energy – we do see a greater focus on upcoming and emerging markets where the “power supply chain” has not been fully developed and where there is still a basic need for safe and secure power utility.”
She continues; “This is the reason why most of the power plants are built in remote areas – areas with low level infrastructure and lack of equipment for transport and heavy lift executions. And this set an even higher demand for the logistic management and execution – a challenge we welcome together with our partners and suppliers”
“Together with our clients – executing these projects, I do feel we make a big difference for the people living in these places”.
