15.03.2022 | MARTIN BENCHER SUPPORTS UKRAINE

The war in Ukraine has created a humanitarian crisis in Europe, unlike anything we have seen since the 2nd World War.

More than 2 million people have now fled Ukraine because of the Russian invasion, according to the United Nations. It is heartbreaking to see families fleeing their homes, getting their dreams and lives shattered by the invasion.

Martin Bencher Group has no employees in either Russia or Ukraine but what is happening has a great impact on all of us, and we have decided to make donations worth DKK 100,000 (abt USD 15,000) to relief agencies and other organizations that do much-needed work in this tragic time.

We have decided to support the Red Cross with DKK 30,000. Another DKK 30,000 will be sent through the UN. As Poland is receiving the vast majority of the refugees, we will through MB Poland donate DKK 15,000 to the Polish Medical Mission and DKK 15,000 to the Good Factory in Poland, another aid and relief organization.

Finally, we have sponsored DKK 10,000 for a film project that supports Ukrainian filmmakers who have decided to stay back in Ukraine to document the war, and they need everything from memory cards to bulletproof vests. We sincerely hope that this tragic war will end soon and peace can be restored.

Sincerely,
Peter Thorsoe Jensen
CEO
